Discovering the Physical Causes

***Please Note that due to Covid-19, all of my appointments are now virtual. I am accepting new patients that are in the State of Washington. ***

I help people discover what their brains and bodies need to have energy and mental clarity in their daily lives.

You may have the one or more of the following diagnoses, but the diagnosis does not tell you about the cause:

  • Fatigue

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • PTDS

  • Addiction(s)

  • ADHD

  • Phobias

  • Insomnia

Working with Dr. Allott over 5-6 appointments, together, you will discover how your diagnosis might be related to some of the following:

  • Anemia

  • Balance and vertigo problems

  • Blood pressure issues both low and high

  • Digestive issues

  • Food Sensitivities

  • Genetic intolerance of some medications

  • History of concussion, head trauma, car accident, playing sports, or physical abuse

  • Hormonal dysregulation

  • Hypoglycemia

  • Inflammation

  • Joint pain

  • Nutrient deficits

  • Neck pain and tightness

  • Poor vision at the end of the day or at night

  • Skin problems

  • Sugar, alcohol nicotine and marijuana craving

  • Other diagnoses such as hypothyroidism, autoimmunity, pre-diabetes, diabetes, obesity

In the appointment process:

Generally, people will meet with me for 5 to 6 appointments. Each appointment is crafted to your needs. As we identified some of the underlying causes, you and I will create small achievable experiments to address the problem and you improve your energy and mental clarity.

  •  We will discuss your diet, sleep, and movement with the focus on being sure that your brain and body are getting what it needs to feel better today and tomorrow.

  • I will order blood labs to be sure that you do not have a nutrient deficit (protein, B vitamins, and minerals) that is making it hard for your brain to synthesize neurotransmitters.  Additionally, I will be looking to see if other physiological processes, such as inflammation, glucose control issues, pre-diabetes, diabetes, autoimmune disease, are mimicking a mental health diagnosis and contributing to your lack of energy and mental clarity.

  •  I will look for hormone dysregulation issues such as thyroid and cortisol.

  •  I will perform a physical exam to identify subtle but significant visual and vestibular (balance) changes that might have occurred with a history of concussion, head trauma, car accident, playing sports, or physical abuse. When our visual and balance systems are off, our brain gets misinformation that can contribute or mimic fatigue, depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

  • I will offer acupuncture for you if you have significant fatigue, menstrual issues, joint pain, PTSD symptoms or insomnia. Sometimes acupuncture can temporally improve symptoms just so you know that it can be better.

  •  We will wrap up the assessment process making sure that you have a better understanding of your brain and body, have new achievable tools to maintain your energy and mental clarity, and, if necessary, have appropriate referrals for your next steps.

 Appointment Costs

I am a cash practice because insurance does not pay for identifying causes of mental health concerns, educating you about your brain and body, and working with you to create achievable steps to feel better. Depending on your insurance, I can provide out of network superbill so that your insurance plan can reimburse you.

The first appointment is $280 for 75 minutes. After the first appointment, a 75-minute appointment is $240, a one-hour appointment is $200, and a 45-minute appointment is $180. I bill for the time together. I am still cash or check since cards add significantly to overhead.

 Making an Appointment

The best way to learn more or make an appointment is to call me at 206-579-2757. Generally, I talk with a new client for 10-15 minutes before setting the first appointment. This is to make sure that you understand the process of working with me, and I have answered all of your questions. This allows us to get to the work of helping you be at your best as soon as we meet in the first the appointment.

Before your first appointment to please print and fill out the Intake Form and Registration Form.
